Our Rating
The C100X's laptop-style keyboard has wider, flatter keys than most desktop models. They provide a reasonable amount of travel and plenty of feedback, so are comfortable to use.
It's more compact than most keyboards, which affects the layout. The arrow keys are squashed at the bottom-right and can be hard to find. The insert key is next to the right-Ctrl; it's easy to hit this by accident and change to overwrite mode. The mouse is comfortable to hold but doesn't feel particularly accurate.
It has far fewer short cut buttons than the Genius TwinTouch 750e and Logitech LX710 keyboards, with only buttons to change volume, launch your web browser and email programs and pause and play media files.
Some people swear by flat laptop-style keys, and the C100X set's keyboard is a good- value example. It's outclassed by Logitech's LX710 set, though, which has a better-designed keyboard and a more accurate mouse.
