Our Rating
The Media Cruiser is one of three keyboards on test with an integrated pointing device and no mouse, as well as Media Center short cut buttons. It costs more than Trust's Vista Remote Keyboard, but feels much better made.
The short cut keys can jump to any of Media Center's functions, control video and audio tracks and even change TV channels. It's better for controlling Media Center than the Trust keyboard, as its scroll wheel lets you browse menu options and click to select them.
You can use the keyboard's touch stick with the Windows desktop, but it seems to move either too slowly or too quickly, making icons hard to find. You'll need a separate mouse to use it on a desk. The keyboard is reasonable, as the keys have plenty of travel if little feedback.
The Media Cruiser is a fair buy if you need to type when using your Media Center PC, but if you can do without short cut keys, KeySonic's Wireless-Mini is a better buy.
