The Solargizar is designed to be environmentally friendly, with a solar panel and integrated rechargeable batteries.
When you first use it you have to plug it in with the supplied USB cable to charge its internal batteries. It then uses its solar panel to keep the batteries charged up. You can also fit a pair of AA batteries for backup. It had no trouble charging in the dim light of our Labs.
The keyboard is good to type on. There's no flex, the keys have plenty of travel and they're weighted just right. A panel at the top has short cut buttons to control media files and access common programs such as your web browser, as well as volume controls. The volume is displayed in green on the screen.
The mouse has an odd shape, but is comfortable to hold and has a smooth motion. Pointer movement can be erratic, though. This is a reasonable set, but it seems too expensive compared with Logitech's LX710 pack.
