Notebook PCs are dead handy, but even the best touchpads can't compete with a proper mouse when it comes to nipping around the screen.

This dinky rodent with a short USB cable and optical sensor is the ideal accompaniment to laptops and the makeshift desks they frequent. Surprisingly comfortable, too.
