SCYTHE NCU-2005 Fanless Heatlane CPU Cooler review

Verdict:

Our Rating 3 stars out of 5

It might look like something from the early days of aviation, but the NCU-2005 is a fanless processor cooler that fits all current sockets. It's a little complex to install. It's silent, but needs a PC case with decent airflow to help disperse heat.

We tested it using a 120mm power supply fan and 80mm rear fan to extract air. Our 2.6GHz Pentium 4 stayed below 50-C in our tests. This almost equalled the standard Intel fan cooler's performance, but without its noise. It's a great product for quietening a medium-performance processor, but seems expensive.
