Our Rating
Microsoft's Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is very small and will fit snugly into your notebook bag, so you can use it when you're travelling.
We found it OK to use, but if you have large hands or use it for prolonged periods of time, it could get rather uncomfortable. The USB cable is quite short, so you may find you need to carry an extension cable with you.
Microsoft's IntelliPoint software can be used to configure your mouse extensively, including the ability to adjust the pointer speed and configure the buttons. The default button settings include a horizontal and vertical scroll wheel, left- and right-click and a tiny button that magnifies the display around your cursor.
The software is full of features but the tiny size means it isn't suitable for everyone.
