Our Rating
This label printer uses thermal rolls with a maximum width of 62mm and prints at a claimed speed of 90mm per second.
Supplies come in the form of continuous tape or pre-shaped labels. Using the automatic cutter to separate individual 29x90mm labels, we printed 20 text labels in one minute 12 seconds. Without the cutter the same job took just 33 seconds. Each label costs less than 3p.
Brother's software contains templates and data merge options for mass address printing. Labels can contain text, images or barcodes. You can even highlight text in an Office application and print it directly to a label. The QL-550 is flexible, and inexpensive to buy and run.
