Posted on 4 Feb 2010 at 12:32
Last week, we covered the introduction of five new AMD processors. Now we've completed testing and can reveal how they've performed. The table below shows each of the new processors along with their speed, price and their Overall score in our benchmark tests. You can read more about them in our previous article.
| Processor | Speed | Shopper Overall Score | Price |
| Phenom II X4 910e | 2.6GHz | 93 | £131 |
| Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition | 3.2GHz | 92 | >£77 |
| Athlon II X4 635 | 2.9GHz | 93 | £96 |
| Athlon II X3 440 | 3GHz | 88 | £68 |
| Athlon II X2 255 | 3.1GHz | 81 | £60 |
As shown by the scores, most of the new processors fill in mid-priced gaps in AMD's existing range. As their prices fall following their release, we expect the Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition and the Athlon II X4 635 in particular to be ones to watch.
You can read more about AMD's latest CPUs, along with the rest of the 66 processors that we've tested and rated, in issue 267 of Computer Shopper magazine, due out on 11 March.
