Our Rating
The Toughpower QFan 650W is the cheapest PSU in the group with modular cables, so you need only fit the cables you require.
The motherboard and six-plus-two-pin PCI Express plug are wired to the PSU, while the four Molex, six SATA and two six-pin PCI Express plugs are detachable. Power is provided by four 12V rails, each rated up to 18A. The Toughpower QFan 650W is SLI-certified, but only for older configurations, and isn't CrossFire-certified.
The interior is kept cool by a slow-spinning 140mm fan and several small holes cut into the sides, but it's still quite noisy. It has post-shutdown cooling, which keeps the fan spinning after the PC switches off to prevent overheating. The PSU was within the ATX specification at all loads, with a power efficiency of 83 per cent.
The Toughpower QFan 650W is cheap for a modular PSU, but it's noisy.
