Our Rating
The Odin is an unusual PSU. With a USB cable and a Windows application you can monitor its temperature using four probes and adjust the output of its four 12V rails. We wouldn't recommend trying the latter, as you could damage your PC.
Like most of the PSUs in the group, the Odin GT 550W is cooled by a single large fan - in this case, a quiet 140mm model. It also has modular cables, so you need only fit the cables your PC requires. There are five Molex and six SATA plugs, plus a six-pin PCI Express plug and a six-plus-two-pin PCI Express plug. It has no CrossFire certification and is only certified for basic SLI configurations.
The Odin GT 550W stayed within the ATX specification at all load levels. It's also very power-efficient, averaging 85 per cent. There's not much in it, but it's a better buy than Thermaltake's cheaper Toughpower QFan 650W.
