Nexus NX-8060 review
Verdict:
A quiet and stable power supply, but with only six-pin PCI-E power connectors, you can't connect an eight-pin PCI-E graphics card.

Our Rating
Nexus's NX-8060 is one of the quietest power supplies we've seen.
It's also well designed, with four 12V rails rated at 18A delivering power individually to the CPU, one of the PCI-E power connectors, the motherboard and the second PCI-E power connector. It can deliver 97 per cent of its 600W over these four rails.
As you'd expect, the NX-6080 is modular, so you can connect only the cables you need. The only disappointment is that the PCI-E connectors are only six-pin, so you can't use a graphics card that needs an eight-pin plug.
Performance was excellent, with stable voltages across all the rails. The NX-8060 delivered 85 per cent efficiency at both 50 per cent load and full load.
This is a reliable and quiet PSU, but it's comparatively pricy and the six-pin PCI-E power connectors are disappointing. Be Quiet!'s DarkPower Pro 650W PSU is better.
