The Dark Power Pro 650W PSU is a great choice if you want a silent PSU.

The 650W is mainly generated by four 12V rails. Each is rated at 20A, with a maximum combined output of 52A. All cables bar the motherboard connector are modular. There are two eight-pin PCI-E power cables for powerful graphics cards.

Not surprisingly, given the manufacturer's name, this is a quiet PSU. A 120mm fan keeps it cool and continues to run after you've shut down your PC to prevent the unit overheating.

The output from all rails stayed well within the ATX specification, and we found that the Dark Power was very efficient: it managed 87 per cent efficiency at both 50 per cent and full load. At this price, it's the best choice for anyone with a powerful PC.
