FSP Everest Pro 1200W review
Verdict:
The Everest Pro is an awesome power supply that provides huge amounts of power, yet is incredibly quiet. However, it isn't quite a match for Enermax's Revolution 85+.

Our Rating
FSP's monstrous Everest Pro can deliver more power than you're ever likely to need. Most of the 1.2kW of power is produced by six 12V rails, each rated up to 20A. These have a combined maximum power of 90A.
The Everest Pro is kept very cool by a quiet 120mm fan that doesn't even spin up until the power supply reaches 50 per cent load - 600W. Other highlights include three 6+2-pin PCI-E and three 6-pin PCI-E connectors and a full set of modular cables.
It proved more than a match for the Chroma load tester (see How we test on page 88). Its rails kept within the ATX limits and it was very efficient. At half load it was 90 per cent efficient, and 88 per cent at full load.
For just £6 more, you could buy Enermax's Revolution 85+ which is just as quiet, but has more cables and post-shutdown cooling.
