Beware limits compared to Humax T2

Google "Humax DTR-T1000 wiki" Youview has asked Humax to remove many of the Humax T2 best features for Youview.

Does not have HTPC functionality

While this product clearly does what it sets out to do very well, it only addresses TV functionality (at least you do not mention it if it does, or could do, more). It has much better TV functionality than Windows MCE, but I am afraid that this does not compensate for all the other multimedia functionalty the MCE offers, So, while tempted, I will not be giving up on my HTPC for the present.

Editing?

Does it have an edit facility, to remove garbage at start and end of progs?
Can it transfer recordings to PC for editing?
If those two facilities are missing, then it's useless to me and, I suspect, a lot of other people.

O.K but to be honest still disappointing after so long in the waiting

thanks for the review but I see that there are conflicts here, you say that there are component connections in the specification, does it really have component output?, also does it not upscale to 1080p (not that it is not that important but most HD boxes do now. Is it Dolby digital out or HE-AAC (Dolby digital +) in which case you may well have to use PCM output on the dolby reciever) it should be able to record from the start of the program you have been watching like on sky and also allow you to create manual recording timers. a wireless connection shouldnt have to be an optional extra, does it really cost so much to integrate that now as so many things do already.
