LG InTouch Max GW620 review
Verdict:
A good first effort from LG, but the GW620 is already out of date thanks to Android 1.5, and the comfortable keyboard can't make up for its poor performance.

Pictures taken with the 5-megapixel camera are crisp and have good contrast, but colours are a bit muted. LG has included a clever auto face-tagging feature, that scans for faces in photographs and highlights them. If you click on a highlighted face, you can choose to link it with a contact from your address book.
On the face of it, the GW620 is much cheaper than the HTC Hero, which on paper is very similar in terms of hardware. In use however, we found the GW620 wasn't anywhere near as user-friendly, and it felt much slower. The keyboard is a huge advantage, and we're pleased to see LG making some effort to customise the default Android interface, but the company has a way to go before it catches up with its Android rivals.
The LG InTouch Max GW620 is available SIM-free at £270 inc VAT or for free on an 18 month contract at £22-per-month from Virgin Mobile.
