Our Rating
Despite the availability of inexpensive terabyte drives and NAS devices, it can still feel like you're going through disk space at an ridiculous rate. TreeSize Free helps you work out where all the space is going by scanning your disk and displaying the contents of each directory in size order.
The contents of our hard disk - our archived music, video and photo collections - were fairly predictable and easy to sort. We actually found TreeSize more useful when sorting out our smaller USB disks, which fill up more quickly.
TreeSize Free isn't as vital as it was when we only had a few gigabytes to play with, but it's still a useful tool to help you manage your data. As well as helping to find unnecessary large files, it's also surprisingly handy when it comes to working out exactly where you saved specific large files.
