Blog It puts blogging on Facebook
Posted on 16 Apr 2008 at 08:25
Blogging software developer Six Apart has introduced a new tool that enables Facebook users to post to popular blog engines from within the social networking website.
Unlike other Facebook blogging tools, Blog It is not restricted to one blogging engine. As well as Six Apart's own TypePad, Blog it can post to several popular engines, including Blogger, Twitter, Movable Type, Vox, and WordPress.
Users simply add the Blog It application on Facebook and then setup their account details. Once a post has been made, users can send out notifications and automatically share posts via Twitter and Pownce as well as the Facebook newsfeed.
"By bridging the gap between blogging and social networking, Six Apart brings social tools to bloggers all over the web no matter the publishing platform they use," said David Recordon, Open Platforms Tech Lead at Six Apart. "Blog It is a power tool for bloggers who want to spread the word to their friends and colleagues about the content they're creating."
