Microsoft unveils Expression Media 2
Posted on 2 May 2008 at 10:07
Microsoft has released a new version of Expression Media, its digital asset management software.
Expression Media 2 is designed for solution photographers and other creative professionals, for organising documents, images, fonts, and other key data into a searchable catalogue. This upgrade adds support for the latest file formats including RAW for geotagging functionality and for Quick Look
Version 2 also supports the new default Office for Mac 2008 file formats - useful since Expression ships as part of the Office Special Media Edition. Anyone who has purchased this version of the Office suite can upgrade Expression for free.
Other new features include the ability to create and view hierarchies of keywords for files; and multi-monitor Light Table support, so users can have the Light Table open on one monitor while the catalogue and tools are open on another.
There are also new customisable templates for printing catalogues or displaying them on the web.
More information and a free trial version are available from microsoft.com/mac.
