MobileMe email still offline for some users
Posted on 23 Jul 2008 at 10:55
Apple is still having problems with MobileMe email, with many users unable to access their messages online or through an email client.
The MobileMe support page has warned since the weekend that 1% of MobileMe members cannot access email, which Apple attributes to a "serious issue" with one of its MobileMe mail servers.
Email aside, all other MobileMe services are now up-and-running, including the legacy .Mac Homepage and Groups applications, which were the last to be switched over.
MacNN reports that in the midst of all the problems Apple has had with the MobileMe transition, a security vulnerability has been found that could expose a users name, address and email information. The flaw can only be exploited on a machine that has been used to access me.com and where the two-week cookie option has been chosen.
