Quark pushes free XTension upgrades
Posted on 24 Jul 2008 at 08:37
A number of XTensions developers have agreed to offer free upgrades on current versions of their QuarkXPress 7 plugins.
With QuarkXpress 8 due to ship in the coming weeks, XTensions developers are providing free upgrades to v8 plugins to anyone buying current, v7 versions.
The offer includes QX-Tools Pro, Resize XT, font, image and pre-press tools among more than two dozen eligible XTensions.
"Tedious and repetitive tasks associated with publishing projects can be automated with XTensions technology, saving users time and money," said Terry Welty, Quark's senior vice president of Corporate Marketing. "Database publishing, indexing and footnoting, pre-flighting, hyphenation and spellchecking, imposition, graphic management, batch printing, colour management, and much more are streamlined or eliminated when using third-party XTensions."
