Orange is offering mobile broadband with a free Asus' Eee PC in a new bundle. The 8.9in, 1kg Eee 900 is available in a package that includes of Orange's 'Internet Everywhere' mobile broadband service.
The company is offering the deal with 3GB data allowance and up to 100 text messages from the laptop for £25 a month. The laptop is only available on a 24-month contract - amounting to a total of £600 for the laptop, broadband and text messages - over two years.
According to Orange, the move follows its recent strategic pledge to "evolve" the communications market by offering "new ways for customers to connect with the people and things that matter most to them".
"It is Orange's aim to be at the forefront of serving today's 21st century customers, so we're pleased to bring to market our first connected laptop offer with Asus," said Francois Mahieu, director of devices at Orange UK.
"This launch is just the start, over time we will be expanding our offering even further with more suppliers who are at the forefront of laptop technology."
