Our Rating
Both versions come with five client access licences (CALs), so you can connect up to five PCs to the server at once. Additional CALs are available at a cost of around £350 including VAT for five.
Windows Small Business Server 2008 builds onand improves the elements that made previous versions so good. It provides lots of features for a good price (less than you'd pay if you bought them separately) and makes administration simple. However, This might be an expensive upgrade once you take into account everything else you need to buy to make it work. Most SBS users should wait until they upgrade to a 64-bit server for better performance, and then upgrade to SBS 2008 at the same time.
