Google improves image search
Posted on 3 Aug 2009 at 16:42
Google has improved its image search with a range of new options that help you find the type of image you're after.
When you search for a picture, clicking the Options link lets you specify if the images should be faces, photos, clip art or line drawings, and if they should be full colour, black and white or a specific selectable colour. The old options to choose the image size still remain.
They make searching for images considerably quicker and, in particular, the face detection option seems very accurate.
The Image Options toolbar is the lasted set of search options from Google. It rolled out a Search Options toolbar last month, which lets you quickly filter results for videos, forums and reviews.
