Windows 7 deal ends 1st of September

Microsoft has announced that the current Windows 7 pre-order deal, which let PC owners buy a full version of the new operating system at upgrade prices, will end on the 1st of September.
At present the you can pre-order the full version of Windows 7 Home Premium for £80. As of September this £80 offer will change to an upgrade version of the software, meaning that you will need an existing copy of Windows XP or Vista to upgrade from. The full version will then switch to its full £150 price.
We highly recommend that anyone still using Windows XP (who meets the minimum specifications) plus most Windows Vista users, should take advantage of the current offer now, and get a full copy of the software, rather than one that's reliant upon a previous Windows license.
After December the 31st, the price for the upgrade version will then rise to £100.
Also announced was the limited availability of the Windows 7 Family Pack in the UK.
