Microsoft has today announced that Windows 7 will be available for pre-order by UK university students at a reduced price of just £30.
To coincide with the start of the new academic year, cash-strapped university students will be able to pre-order Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit and 64-bit) or the Windows 7 Professional (32-bit and 64-bit) ahead of the official launch on 22nd October.
This is great news for students who aren't planning to buy a new PC but want to upgrade from Windows XP or Vista.
The offer is open to any UK student with a valid .ac.uk email address and will last from 1st October until 3rd January 2010 at which time the cost will revert to the standard prices. To order a copy, head to the special offer page on Microsoft's website.
