Apple fixes hard drive pauses
Posted on 15 Oct 2009 at 11:30
Apple has released a pair of updates to address a problem with hard drives that can occur in both Leopard and Snow Leopard.
The problem can cause hard drives in several Mac models to pause intermittently.
Separate versions of the update are available for each of the affected operating system versions, with details of applicable Macs and instructions for updating provided in About Performance Update 1.0.
If you are not sure whether the update is applicable, download and run the installer, which will detect whether it is required.
