Roxio Creator 2010 Pro review

Verdict:

Creator 2010 Pro is a polished suite of tools to help you edit, manage and share your media with relative ease.

Our Rating 4 stars out of 5

Creator 2010 supports both ATI's Stream and Nvidia's Cuda technologies. These can massively speed up video encoding if your PC has a supported graphics card; by how much hugely depends on your hardware, although halving the time taken isn't unusual, and you'll appreciate the reduced load on your PC's processor when multitasking.

Many functions of any media suite can be replicated by a rag-tag bunch of free-to-download applications. Roxio Creator 2010 Pro, however, is an excellent all-rounder and remains our favourite suite. Having a single well-integrated set of tools is incredibly handy, but it's the additional applications that make Creator 2010 especially good value. Even if you don't have a Blu-ray writer at the moment, we feel it's worth paying the additional £16 to get the Pro version with all these extras thrown in.
