Posted on 24 Nov 2009 at 17:22
Sony has launched a new online movie service that delivers titles directly to its PlayStation 3 games consoles. The PlayStation Network video delivery service currently provides 800 films to UK customers, with a promise to add 50 more each week.
The service, which operates through the online PlayStation Store, carries both standard and high definition content that have been produced by 20th Century Fox, MGM, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and Universal, amongst others.
You can either buy or rent films, with prices starting at £2.49 and £6.99 respectively. High definition titles cost more than those using standard definition.
To access the video service you'll need to upgrade the firmware of your PS3. The service is also compatible with the handheld PSPGo console.
