There was a time when girl power was about wearing a Union Jack dress, making rubbish records and demanding obscene amounts of money to open a can of fizzy drink.

The Powerpuff Girls don't do any of these things to show the world how sassy they are. They just kick villain-butt!

Aimed at 6-to-10-year-olds, the game is intended to make learning maths and problem-solving fun. Through learning, you help the three heroines - Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup - save the world by bedtime!

The plot sees these feisty babes, with your help, halting the forces of evil and protecting the city of Townsville from the wicked Mojo Jojo. The gals are like intelligent Charlie's Angels, really loving their maths and word puzzles as opposed to lip gloss and big hair. Their mentor, Professor Utonium, has endowed them with special powers, so they can leap tall buildings and dodge nasty cloud formations. They also need to tackle more earthly pursuits such as code-breaking and map reading.

We learn that the evil (yet strangely camp) Mojo Jojo has mass-produced himself and is using his clones to take over the city's main networks. You must help the Powerpuff Girls to kick those clones into touch. The main activities are the Skyscraper Chaser, LetterBugs, and Zap the Map, and all require you to secure enough memory chips to succeed in the final mission: the Code-Breaker. In Skyscraper Chaser you help Blossom (the ginger one) to hop between satellite dishes and solve sums in order to trap the clones. In Letterbugs you assist Bubbles (the baby) in making words out of stray letters to prevent the city filling with rubbish. In Zap the Map you help Buttercup (the butch one) to navigate a map to catch the clones.

Each game offers five levels of difficulty, and the professor is always on hand to help out.

The voices are a bit fuzzy at times, but it shouldn't dampen your enthusiasm. Educational, fun, and it gets your Mojo working. Go get 'em, girls!
