Copernic Agent Professional provides a front end to 16 web search engines (but not Google) and around a thousand other databases, covering sources such as press releases, publications and multimedia.
It provides a right-click search of highlighted text, a Quick Launch button and a menu bar. Each result is ranked, analysed for validity and summarised.
The average web user might struggle to justify the price, but writers, researchers and serious surfers will get plenty of use from it.
