Royal Photographic Society review
Founded in 1853, the Royal Photographic Society's aim is to promote the art and science of photography. It does this by providing services to anyone with an interest in the subject, whether amateur or professional.
The site explains how to join the RPS, and there's also news, information on RPS events and a shop selling a small selection of products. The most interesting section for the casual visitor, however, is the portfolios. Maintained by members, each portfolio includes a biography and shows samples of their work, which you can search by the name of the photographer or by subject. Looking at what others have achieved isn't just a matter of idle curiosity; it's also one of the best ways to learn creative skills.
