Blazon is a specialised drawing package for designing coats of arms.

You define the division of the shield and add objects called ordinaries, sub-ordinaries, diminutives and 'charges', such as lions, beasts, weapons and crosses. You can save the finished design, copy it to the clipboard as a bitmap or Windows metafile or even ask the software for its blazon.

There are only two sizes of charge, which can be limiting, but you can import your own charges if they are not included in Blazon (see www.heraldicclipart.com). The copy function means you can tweak the results in a standard drawing package.
