House of Tartan review

Our Rating 4 stars out of 5

If your family has Scottish ancestry, you may be interested in tartans.

Although the company behind this site makes tartans and the site is mainly a shop front, it has a huge database that you can search to learn about clans' histories and their tartans. If you save the image to disk, you can then import the tartan into your family tree.

If your interest in tartans goes beyond this, take a look at the Interactive Weaver. Pick your colours, place them in order, specify the number of threads for each colour and see your custom design onscreen. The House of Tartan will even weave your creation for you.
