Camera bags needn't make a fashion statement, but this one's bland design borders on the ugly.
There's room for an SLR camera and small accessories such as a charger and spare battery. Side pockets at the front and inside the lid provide room for memory cards, a mobile phone and other small items. The sling design means that it can be kept out of the way like a backpack, while providing quick access simply by swinging the back around to the wearer's front.
Adjustable internal padding ensures a snug fit, suspending the camera with its lens pointing down. The average kit lens won't reach the bottom of the bag and is very well protected from knocks. However, we'd recommend adding a little extra padding at the bottom when carrying a longer zoom lens so it isn't in direct contact with the bottom of the bag, which is a little thin.
It's hard to get excited about the bland-looking Velocity 6, but it serves its purpose well and is attractively priced.
