Our Rating
The Cinergy DT USB XS Diversity is another stick-type tuner, this time, in white and grey with bright orange trim.
It's a little bit bigger than the others on test and when plugged into anything with USB ports close together, risks fouling other ports. Luckily, a handy USB extension cable is supplied to prevent this.
Like the Elgato Diversity tuner, the Cinergy DT can be used either as a dual tuner or to provide a stronger signal on one channel. It ships with a copy of EyeTV, so has all the features of the Elgato device.
Its antennae have both magnetic bases and rubber sucker attachments, so you can fix them to just about any surface - handy if you have difficulty getting a signal.
The Cinergy DT also works well in areas with a weak signal. There's very little, save the styling, to choose between the Elgato and Terratec Diversity devices. The Terratec is slightly bigger, but other than that, it's down to price. And on that basis, the Terratec is the best of the bunch.
