Samsung Android TV on the way?

Google's Android platform is note only gaining ground in the mobile marketplace, but also seeing interest from HDTV manufacturers: as well as the impressive People of Lava Scandinavia set, major manufacturer Samsung is reportedly considering a move to Android.
A report by Bloomberg claims that Samsung is looking in to using Google's Android platform in a future range of set-top boxes or HDTV sets to provide interactivity and Internet-connected functionality, either as part of the Google TV platform or alongside it.
When asked about plans to introduce Android into the company's line-up, Samsung TV head Yoon Boo Keun stated that "we will have to see, but we are reviewing [such a move]."
Adding such features to a set-top box or TV allows it to stream video from the Internet, access video-on-demand services, and even connect to home computers over a network to stream video, audio, and photographs.
The news of Samsung's Android interest comes as Apple attempts to push its own Internet-connected set-top box, the Apple TV, with a dramatic price drop that sees the box dropping below $100 in the US for the first time.
With more companies looking to add interactivity to their entertainment products, one thing is clear: with Android and Google TV for manufacturers to choose from, Google could well be a winner in the entertainment war.

i am looking forward to new Dvices like Google TV ,Samsung TV
In fact, i am looking forward to new Dvices like Google TV ,Samsung TV , As Apple TV just can be applied on IOS devices, i expected some new stuff brought by other system but IOS.
i think the new google TV and Samsung are the hopes . And that the apple TV is too simplistic to runs many applications . for example, even if the users can download movies from Netflix, they can not use Vimeo; can see the pictures on Flickr, but can not see on Facebook or SmugMug;can play HD mp4. videos , can not play any other kinds of videos so that i must rely on Aneesoft video converter.
