LG unveils "world's first" full HD 3D projector
Posted on 7 Jan 2010 at 01:52
CES 2010: LG unveiled its new video projector line up at its press conference in Las Vegas this morning, which includes the CF3D, the world's first full HD, 3D Single Lens Type Projector.
The CF3D has a brightness rating of 2,500 ANSI-lumens and a high contrast ratio of 7,000:1, while it also includes TruMotion 120Hz for smoother fast moving scenes. TruMotion was previously only available on the firm's flat panel HDTVs.
LG says that the CF3D's enhanced technology "gives consumers a more life-like viewing experience." The projector incorporates LG's Dual Engine and 3D Auto Picture Calibration technology which gives the CF3D improved colour correction, while HDMI upscaling reduces colour banding.
The firm didn't talk about availability or pricing, but we'll update the story if we get more information during the show.
