Samsung 3D LED TVs available in March

Samsung has announced that its C7000, C8000 and C9000-series 3D TVs with LED backlighting will come to Europe in March. Screen sizes will range from 40in to a staggering 65in with a 200Hz refresh rate and 2D to 3D conversion. The company has yet to decide on pricing however, although Samsung executives stressed that the premium over non-3D LED TVs would be ‘reasonable’.
Samsung’s new TVs will also come with a touchscreen remote that can control the TV over infrared or WiFi. As well as being able to view a TV channel on the remote, it can also be used to control the TV’s internet features and third party apps, such as renting films from Lovefilm.com, which can be downloaded from the Samsung Apps store. DVR features are also built-in and simply require an external hard disk to be plugged into the USB port.
Although Samsung is bullish on the prospects for its 3D LED TV range, it currently has no plans to bring 3D viewing to its range of PC monitors.
