Panasonic unveils 152in 4K 3D plasma TV

Panasonic has announced its latest full-HD 3D TV - but at 152in, it's not something you're likely to find room for in your living room.
Showcased over on Akihabara News, Panasonic's latest display is designed for professional use - and comes with the specifications to prove it.
Aside from the incredible 152in diagonal screen measurement - the largest in the world, Panasonic claims - the TH-152UX1 is a 4K PDP plasma-based display panel, and features a 4,096x2,160 resolution as well as a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio for the blackest blacks and the brightest whites, a high-speed driving technology for top-quality motion resolution, and cross-talk reduction technology to keep the 3D illusion as crisp as possible.
It's this latter functionality that sets Panasonic's latest PDP apart from other large-scale displays: the company claims that it has developed its 3D display technology to the point where "clear and highly detailed 3D video [is possible] even on the ultra-large panels." Panasonic even claims the panel can display life-size people in full 3D.
If you think you'd struggle to find somewhere to sit a 152in display, the company is also planning to start mass production of 103in and 85in versions based around the same technology and sharing the same specifications - although not quite as impressive once you've seen the top-end model.
Sadly, Panasonic has neglected to provide pricing details - and it's almost certainly a case of "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."
