Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook - UK date announced
Posted on 22 Feb 2012 at 10:19
Samsung has announced a date for the release of its new top-end ultra portable - the new Samsung Series 9 - which will go on sale at John Lewis this Saturday the 25th of February. For the full breakdown of what could be this year's ultimate laptop see our Samsung Series 9 13in (2nd Generation) - Hands on from CES earlier this year.
Although the Samsung Series 9 matches or exceeds all the specifications required for Intel's Ultrabook brand, the company itself isn't using the moniker, maybe feeling that it doesn't want to lump the Series 9 in with the competition - and to differentiate it from the Ultrabook-branded Samsung Series 5 Ultra.
There's no pricing available yet unfortunately, but we'd estimate it will be in teh upper end of Ultrabooks, around £1,200. UPDATE: This price has now been confirmed by John Lewis.
We'll bring you a full review as soon as we can get a sample from Samsung.
