Safari 3 Public Beta review
Verdict:
The Mac's web browser comes to the PC. But, um, we've already got web browsers...A good-looking and capable browser with a neat RSS reader, but there's little reason to choose it over Firefox or Opera.

Our Rating
Safari has a few clever tricks up its sleeve. Its Find function is particularly good. When you type a word or phrase into the Find box, the entire page is dimmed slightly, with each instance of that word or phrase highlighted. It's a simple idea, but it works very well.
Safari's support for RSS news feeds is also impressive. When you view a website or blog that offers a news feed, a large blue RSS icon appears. Clicking this takes you to a special page with each news item listed in turn. A slider lets you adjust between seeing a few stories with lots of detail, or more stories with less detail. By adding several feeds to your bookmarks, you can use the same interface to read all your news sources at once.
