Although it's styled like an advert for the kind of product promoted by Barry Scott (we half expected it to shout 'Bang!

And the Registry crap is gone!'), it does exactly what it says on the tin. We were glad to be able to use it to remove some of its less useful rivals from our test PC, hopefully without leaving a trace of their former presence.

Just as Registry Mechanic focuses on doing one thing and doing it well, Your Uninstaller! concentrates on removing all Registry entries for specific programs that you want to uninstall. In our test, it removed a total of 23 Registry entries that were left behind by Norton SystemWorks Basic and its associated LiveUpdate program. Your Uninstaller! first invokes the application's own uninstall program, then scans the Registry for leftovers,and finally scans the program's installation folders for any remaining files. It's a cinch to use: a wizard guides you through the process of removing an application and its entries. There's even a help panel to guide you through, and a junk file remover and a startup manager are also included.

Though it only does one thing, this utility is simple and effective, and especially useful if you have a lot of unwanted software on your PC.
