Renamer unchains the Finder

Dare to be Creative has announced the release of Renamer 4.0, a new version of the powerful batch file renaming application formerly known as Renamer4Mac.
Designed by Apple Design Award winner Dietmar Kerschner, the new Renamer sports a revamped interface to give access to powerful new renaming options such as chains and a system menu plugin.
Chains let you simplify complex renaming tasks by creating sequences—chains—of the different types of renames the application enables: search and replace for text in filenames; insert, overwrite and remove characters from filenames; sequential numbering; case conversion and even random naming.
And all those options can now be accessed directly within the Finder vai the new system menu.
As if to emphasise its renaming credentials, the upgrade marks the first release under a new name.
“Although Renamer4Mac carried a strong brand name, we felt it was time for a simple, easy-to-remember name”, said Philipp Mayerhofer, chief operational officer at Dare to be Creative.
Renamer 4.0 costs $29 (USD) after a free, 15-day fully featured trial period and is a paid upgrade for existing Renamer4Mac users.
