Nokia Lumia 530 spotted in new photos

Nokia Lumia 530

Is this the new Nokia Lumia 530?

We’ve been waiting for Nokia to announce a successor to its popular budget handset, the Lumia 520, for a while now, but a new mystery device that’s cropped up over the last few days could finally give us a real glimpse of what the alleged Lumia 530 could look like.

Two images, supposedly of the Lumia 530, have emerged courtesy of Weibo user iokeyboy and show the front and back of the handset. It shares the same bright orange-coloured shell as the Lumia 630, suggesting that Nokia will be sticking with the rest of its current colour scheme of orange and green for the new handset.

The design of the handset doesn’t seem to have changed dramatically from the Lumia 520, and the shots show the phone will have onscreen buttons like most low-end Nokia Lumia handsets rather than physical ones. It also seems as though the rear camera will lack any kind of flash.

There’s little else to report from these particular photos, but it’s also rumoured that the Lumia 530 will have a 4.3in display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 512MB of RAM. This information comes from an FCC listing spotted by PhoneArena earlier this month, which also says the phone will come with a microSD card slot, a removeable battery and measure 62.3×119.7mm.

Microsoft-owned Nokia continues with its numbered naming system, ranging from 500 up to 1000, with the high-end Lumia 1520 topping the range. The company has released Lumia handsets in the 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900 ranges in recent years.
