Xbox Spring Sale 2018: Save up to 75% on Xbox One games

Hundreds of downloadable Xbox One and Xbox 360 games have been massively discounted for the Easter break

The Xbox equivalent of the Steam Sale has arrived. With the Easter break right around the corner, what better way to spend your precious days off work than sitting on the sofa, stuffing yourself with highly processed chocolate and powering through the best Xbox One games you missed over the past year? Read on to find out where to grab the best gaming bargains.

Microsoft is running generous discounts on a host of titles, from the very latest Triple-A games to multi-game bundles and schlocky, half-baked sequels and reboots. There’s anything and everything you could possibly want up for grabs, and the majority of these downloadable games are least 40% cheaper during the sale. For Xbox Live Gold gamers these discounts are increased by a further 10%, and on a limited number of games you could save up to 75%.

The sale has been running since 27 April and will close on 9 April, giving you a week and a half to go on a downloading rampage and stockpile enough games to last you until next year’s sale. Keep in mind that additional Gold discounts are “not valid for existing subscribers”, meaning that only Silver members who convert to Gold during the sale can make use of those tasty extra 10% savings. It’s a bit misleading, if you ask us – you have to really seek out the terms and conditions to find that sneaky little kicker. Still, with up to 67% off a host of new releases, Silver subscribers can grab some respectable bargains.

There are over 300 games on sale if you take into account the Xbox 360 games that have been added to the sale. While many of the discounted Xbox One games might not be worth your time, almost all of the Xbox 360 titles are true classics of their era. So, maybe, instead of snapping up the latest 4K offerings you could take a trip down memory lane and relive your favourite games of years – heck, decades – gone by.
