The steady groundswell of Black Friday TV deals has finally begun to wash up on UK shores, and with it comes waves of tempting TV, AV and tech deals which are beginning to tempt our credit cards out of hibernation.

The good: We’re big fans of the A6G – and especially when the 55in model is only £324. In our testing, image quality was good in SDR, and HDR is fine as long as you’re watching Dolby Vision content. Use code BLACKFRIDAYUK.

The bad: At this price, nothing at all.

The good: Want a smaller screen? All-round image quality is great for the money and it’s wonderfully easy to use. Use the code BLACKFRIDAYUK to get the discount.

The bad: HDR is a bit dim, but you’ll need to double your budget to get a big improvement.

LG A1 OLED | 48in: £699, 55in: £799, 65in: £1,199 | Buy now from AO

The good: LG’s entry level OLED isn’t as bright or as feature-packed as pricier models, but it’s still an OLED – that means great picture quality from any angle and perfect blacks. Use code BFOLED100.

The bad: There are some increasingly good deals on LG’s step-up C1 OLEDs (read our full review) – they’re far better for gaming and HDR.

Hisense A7G | 75in: £999 | Buy now from Currys

The good: A 75in QLED screen for £999. If you can live without amazingly bright HDR or high frame-rate gaming, then the A7G delivers good image quality on a huge scale.

The bad: You’ll get better image quality from a smaller, similarly priced TV (such as the LG A1 OLED above). Size isn’t everything.
