How to watch Fubo TV in the UK and abroad

Whether it's live sport or cable channels without the faff, Fubo TV is here for you

In the age of streaming services and giant libraries of accessible content, cable TV packages can seem like a bit of a faff, and in many ways, a pointless expense. But cancel your paid for TV channels and you may have to forfeit one significant perk: the ability to watch live sports. Barring a few exceptions like ESPN being bundled with Disney Plus and professional tennis being exclusively shown on Prime Video, there aren’t that many streaming services that have access to live sports broadcasts.

This was the problem that Fubo TV was founded to solve. It’s a convenient online streaming library that consolidates live sports channels into a streaming service just like Hulu, Netflix or Disney Plus. If live sport is your thing, you can cut the faff of dealing with TV providers, cancel pesky TV licences and make the final shift into the streaming world.

Although that was what Fubo TV became known for, it’s now expanded its library into an even larger menu of traditional TV channels. Depending on where you’re watching from, you’ll get local TV channels like news and sports, as well as larger network channels like AMC, Comedy Central and FX.

This all sounds great, so why hasn’t it made waves outside of the US? Well, unfortunately Fubo hasn’t made the leap to international markets yet, and it’s restricted to US zones. So how can we watch it here in the UK? Read on to find out.

How to watch Fubo TV in the UK and abroad

If you live in the US but are travelling (for business or pleasure) and still want to make use of Fubo’s stellar line-up of TV channels, the best way to access it is by using a VPN. VPNs or Virtual Private Networks are a great way to safeguard your privacy when doing anything online. VPN services can encrypt your data so you don’t have to worry about getting ads that know too much, and even more conveniently, they can mask or change your surfing location to help bypass geoblockers.

So let’s say you live in the US and make regular use of Fubo TV, but you’re travelling to the UK or somewhere in Europe where it isn’t available. A great VPN will help you access your Fubo content as if you never left home. There are lots of great VPNs to choose from nowadays, but we’ve recommended our favourites below that are particularly excellent for accessing US content in the UK.
