Sequel to Guardian of Light also confirmed.

The sequel to last year’s Tomb Raider reboot was announced last night during Microsoft’s E3 press conference. Rise of the Tomb Raider will once again feature a young Lara Croft and is due to hit consoles in 2015.

The game was revealed by way of a CG trailer and it shows Lara Croft in therapy interspersed with shots of her running through a forest with pick axe and bow in hand. Watch the trailer below to see it in action:

Two days ago, Square Enix also trademarked another Tomb Raider title, claiming the URL LaraCroftandtheTempleofOsiris.com. It’s since been confirmed that Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is also in development at Square Enix and is a sequel to Guardian of Light. It’s due to be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and will feature four-player co-op from an isometric perspective.

“After the immensely positive reception we received for our debut co-op adventure Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, we always hoped that we would find the time for Lara to return in another classic AAA digital arcade title,” said Crystal Dynamics’ Darrell Gallagher.

“We are excited to expand upon Guardian of Light’s legacy with an entirely new adventure, and challenged ourselves to create fun new ways to play. Four-player co-op in Lara’s world combined with Crystal Dynamics’ high production values are being brought to a new generation of platforms and we are excited for more friends to share in the adventure together.”
