HURRY: The Nintendo Switch Lite is in stock AND reduced in early Black Friday sales

Grab the notoriously popular Nintendo handheld console before it's gone

It’s pretty rare to find the Nintendo Switch Lite in stock at Amazon, much less on offer for savings of up to £20 on console/game bundles. But that’s exactly what Amazon is offering right now, as a part of its ludicrously early Black Friday sales. If you were looking for an excuse to grab Nintendo’s fully portable Switch console, this might just be it.

There are quite a few bundles to choose from – as there always are – but we recommend nabbing the console with the excellent Super Mario All-Stars. Featuring Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy, you’re getting three classic games plus the Nintendo Switch Lite for £20 less than normal – that’s £229, down from £250.

Alternatively, you can nab the Switch Lite with Animal Crossing or Mario Kart 8 for the same price; or, if you’d rather spend less, the Switch Lite is also available with Minecraft for £209, down from £220. The console itself (with no games) is available for £200, but we’d suggest you steer clear since games are expensive without the sorts of discounts on offer here.

Either way, you’re paying for a cracking little console. Nathan awarded the Switch Lite five stars and a Best Buy accolade when he originally reviewed it, noting in particular the pocket-sized form factor, extended battery life and low price.

“if you are (unfortunately) like me and only ever use the Switch while you’re out and about, then the Switch Lite represents the very best handheld console that Nintendo has ever brought to market. The new design is far better suited for on-the-go gaming sessions, it’s equally as powerful and the slightly improved battery life over the original version is also a big plus.” High praise indeed.

Obviously, it’s worth noting that you cannot connect the Switch Lite to your TV, but since it’s clear the Nintendo Switch is best suited to gaming-on-the-go, we’re not convinced that’s an issue. The screen is only marginally smaller, but the console is much lighter and therefore much easier to hold for extended periods of time than its sibling.

Better still, there are no hardware limitations – the specs are actually better – and you can rest assured that all existing Switch games are compatible. Plus, it comes in a host of appealing colours, which is obviously the most important part.

With Christmas looming, you will no doubt see similar offers on the Switch lite crop up as November rolls through. If you don’t want to risk the inevitable stock issues, however, now is the time to buy the Switch Lite.
