Darth Vader PS4: This IS the console you’re looking for
Limited edition PlayStation 4 will launch alongside Star Wars Battlefront
The PS4 has always had a dark side. Two of them, in fact. However, a limited Darth Vader edition of the console to be released this November will really bring a touch of evil to the PlayStation.
The special edition of the console is being released to mark the launch of Star Wars Battlefront, an EA game that recreates many of the classic dogfights from the films. The console bears the image of Luke Skywalker’s devilish dad, and is sure to be in high demand when it’s released this winter.
The Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Bundle includes a 500GB console, a controller that Sony claims has “been inspired by Darth Vader” (marketing talk for a new colour scheme and a Star Wars logo imprinted on the touch panel) and the Deluxe Edition of Battlefront. Also in the box will be a voucher to download four titles – Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter – on the PS4 for the first time.
Sony will also be offering a second bundle inlcuding the Darth Vader PS4, which oddly includes Disney Infinity 3, but not Battlefront itself. This second Limited Edition offering also includes some Star Wars figurines, but will only be available from Wal Mart in the US, according to Sony.
There’s no mention of the price of either of the limited edition consoles, but expect to pay a fairly hefty premium to get your hands on one of these…
